GPU 100/640 Triplet APO OTA

This small telescope features parameters that are similar to the famous Zeiss APQ 100/640. The reason is simple: we consider these as the ideal parameters for a travel telescope. Using oil spaced triplet APO optics, the minimal number of air-to-glass surfaces and the extremely high Strehl ratio guarantee that we can get the same light gathering ability and image contrast that only a somehow larger air spaced lens could produce. But we can spare size and weight, so, the scope is easy to transport and fun to use, even on top of a small mount (which is also typical for a travel telescope).

The lens in this telescope cools down quickly and effectively, so we can start observing as soon as we take the scope out of the box, and during the next half of an hour, the optics will gradually improve optical performance to the final level.

Even if the optics in this instrument are extremely fast, the planetary images will not disappoint any critical observer. There are many features on the planets to be enjoyed, and double star performance will also prove the high quality of the optics. Deep sky performance is similarly excellent, brighter objects will show nice details, but we should not forget that this is a small telescope, with limited aperture.

We believe this telescope represents the ideal balance between size, weight and optical performance, and these features make it specially well suited for travelling.

We accept orders with 50% pre-payment. The remaining part of the price is due upon shipping the product. The below prices are the export prices, they do not include the VAT (which is due ONLY for customers within the European Union). In Hungary, the current VAT rate is 20%.
